MUA Favourites

Hello my lovely ladies. I'm sure most of you will have heard of the cheap and cheerful MUA or Makeup Academy cosmetics. I love them! I feel that everything they are bringing out is getting better and better.
You can buy MUA products from Superdrug or the MUA website.
Now many of their products have been considered dupes; such as the Undressed palettes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes.
I haven't yet tried out everything, but so far the things I have tried, I adore!
All except one, sadly. I wasn't a big fan of their matte lipsticks. I felt that it dragged on my lips, and therefore didn't give me the colour it was meant to. It had to go I'm afraid.
But lets get on to the good stuff.

Now I'm not a One Direction fan at all, so when I heard they brought out their own makeup collection through MUA, I was the least bit phased. However, after seeing this colour swatched by another blogger, I had to have it. Each item and colour is picked by one of the band members, this lipstick is from Loius. And I have to admit, the boy did good.

I have already posted about both of these lipsticks here. But they really are so good. They're only £1 each, pigmented and soft on the lips. What's even better is that the bottom part of the lipstick tube which shows the colour, actually screws off and is a little pot of gloss/balm. Whats not to love?!

Now these really are my most favourite! If you follow me on instagram or facebook, you'll see that I post a lot wearing either of these lip colours. I assume they are meant to mimic Lime Crime's Velvetine lip glosses. They aren't as soft however, and do tend to dry your lips out after prolonged wear. HOWEVER, if you apply some lip balm before hand then dab it off before applying these, you won't have that problem. They have six other colours in the collection, four which are newer. And at £3 each, they really are a steal!

I don't tend to wear powder much, only when it gets hot, so when I saw this for £1 I had to try it out. Its great for setting your makeup and keeping you matte up to a point. Its not as great as some powders, but what do you really expect? There's four shades, and this is shade 3 which is perfect for my complextion (tried shade 4 and it left me looking muddy.)

This little beauty I have been after for a while but was always sold out! It is such a gorgeous highlighter, honestly I can't explain! Just look at that shimmer. You can use it to highlight your cheekbones, brow bones, eyes, whatever! Its just so beautiful!

MUA's nail polish is another item from their £1 range. And it is amazing. Two coats is all I needed, and it doesn't chip super quick like some polishes do! The bottle does reminds me of a smaller Essie nail polish though.

So thats my favourites so far! I also had the bronzer which came in three shades, and was matte so was perfect for contouring but I hit pan and finished it! Again that was only £1 also. I've heard great things about their setting spray and their blushers, and I can't wait to try it out!

Let me know if you've tried anything from MUA, and your thoughts!
Thank you for reading!
